“Zimi” is a variation from the Hellenic word for dough. Our dough is used to create a Real Authentic NY Bagel the old-fashioned way without cutting any corners. In the tradition of Old-World artisans, it is rare to find a bagel that has been through our process in its entirety. Zimi Bagels are mixed using NY water and a proprietary recipe. They are hand cut, hand rolled, kettle boiled, hand baked and turned on burlap covered wood in vintage revolving tray ovens. That is a mouthful but it creates a delicious one at that! It’s a labor-intensive process but it makes our bagels the best out there.

Zimi Bagel Café is a family owned business that has been serving delicious, preservative free hand-rolled bagels to the people of New York/New Jersey since 1990. We are a lot more than just a bakery or café selling baked goods. We offer you a variety of healthy meal options, using only the freshest and finest ingredients available.
